Fire Suppression System

Clean Agent Fire Suppression System

Pre-Engineered System

The Pre-Engineered System is pre-set quantities of clean agent and specific flow rates in set of pipes, fittings and nozzles for various hazards. Specifically, they are limited to types and sizes by Underwriters Laboratories based on the actual fire test conducted. These units are designed for the protection against Class A, Class B and Class C fires occurring within an enclosure. The Pre-Engineered System is designed and installed in accordance to Luke’s Installation, Maintenance and Services Technical Manual.

Engineered System

Luke Fire Suppression System is an engineered system utilizing a fixed fire fighting system that is designed, manufactured and tested in accordance to international standards, such as NFPA 2001. We manufactured our own clean agent (e.g. HFC-227ea, FK 5-1-12), and it is UL Listed and FM Approved.

This system allows a range of flexibility in design parameters with the use of Luke flow calculation software for determination of the quantity of clean agent required for a specific hazard volume and its set of pipes and fittings sizes. The systems are designed for Total Flooding Protection against Class A, Class B and Class C fires occurring within an enclosure and are designed and installed in accordance to NFPA 2001 and to comply with the Installation, Maintenance and Services Technical Manual.

The cylinder assembly includes a welded cylinder filled with HFC-227ea and FK-5-1-12 Clean Agent
Each cylinder is equipped with a special high-speed opening cylinder valve
Valves are available in:
Brass Valve :  1/2″, 1″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/2″
Stainless Steel Valve:  1/2″ 1″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/2″, 3″, 4″
Cylinders can only be installed in the upright position.
Valve is appropriate for high discharge rates and makes the extinguishant discharge possible within 10 seconds.
Includes a pressure gauge for indication of the filling pressure.
Includes a burst disc to protect from excessive pressure.
Uses a piston actuator  as a pressure operated switch in the cylinder discharge of multiple cylinders installation
Includes Electric Solenoid (24 VDC 15 Watts & 12 VDC 15 Watts) to automatically start and operate the clean agent discharge based on the operating specification requirements.
Used Low Pressure Supervisory Switch to monitor the internal pressure of the cylinder
Cylinder fill density is dependent on the area of protection size
A cylinder nameplate label is attached to the extinguishing agent container. Contains maintenance and filling information, as well as information about the filling quantity.
